Mike Huckabee, Paula White-Cain, and Others Offer Early Praise for Author Stephen E. Strang’s Newest Book, ‘God and Cancel Culture,’ Out Sept. 7, 2021

Best-Selling Author Known for His Books About Donald J. Trump ‘Offers a Fresh Perspective of Hope and Faith for the Future’

ORLANDO, Fla. — Stephen E. Strangaward-winning journalist, best-selling author, and founder of Charisma Media recently announced the forthcoming publication of his new book, “God and Cancel Culture: Stand Strong Before It’s Too Late,” releasing on Sept. 7, 2021. Strong advance praise for the book has already come in from Mike Huckabee, Paula White-Cain, Dr. Tim Clinton, Eric Metaxas, Gordon Robertson, and many others.

Says Mike Huckabee, former governor of Arkansas, about “God and Cancel Culture,” “Stephen boldly confronts the ugly assault that has been unleashed on conservative and Christian voices in our country and offers a fresh perspective of hope and faith for the future. You’ll want to read every word!” Paula White-Cain, president of Paula White Ministries, says the author “does a superb job of urging the church to follow God’s call to understand the times and rise in action against the evil forces coming against us today.” And Dr. Tim Clinton, president of the American Association of Christian Counselors, notes, “Stephen takes a hard dive into [cancel culture’s] war zone and provides a thought-provoking discussion for the road forward.”

Strang is a widely read author and Christian businessman who wrote “God and Donald Trump” (2017), among other books on President Donald J. Trump. Additional endorsements of his latest book can be seen here.

Says Strang of “God and Cancel Culture” and why he wrote it, “Today, 64 percent of Americans believe cancel culture is a threat to their freedom, according to a Harvard CAPS-Harris poll. Among Republicans, that figure is even higher, at 80 percent. While the term ‘cancel culture’ applies to conservatives who oppose the politically correct crowd, it is part of a bigger effort to cancel Christianity and those who espouse biblical principles. It almost seems this is the beginning of the end—and that Christians are in an unprecedented season of fragmentation, political division, and actual separation on many fronts.

“Yet now is not the time for Christians to be divided,” adds Strang. “The body of Christ is a big, diverse family, and we must choose to cheer one another on. This book will help Christians realize the seriousness of the battle before us and illuminate the present circumstance for the purpose of doing good—to bring hope.”

“Christians must not lose heart,” he emphasizes. “We must stand strong and not be intimidated. We must pray—and we must believe God for a great awakening.”

“God and Cancel Culture” features revealing interviews with a cross section of leaders. In clear, authoritative prose, Strang’s new book:

  • documents what is happening in our country right now;
  • shares ways that believers can respond;
  • explains why we can look to the future with hope; and
  • helps readers understand that no matter how bad things seem, God always comes through.

Strang says, “We are called according to His purpose. A purpose never goes in reverse. This book will reveal what that looks like in its various forms today. It gives a great handle for promoting unity and appreciation of one another when that is breaking down so badly elsewhere. Indeed, maybe the love Jesus spoke about, which makes us recognizable to the world, will be seen as this book illuminates the supernatural unity among people of diverse opinions and approaches—while pointedly addressing various hot-button areas.”

“God and Cancel Culture” is published by FrontLine, an imprint of Charisma House, which has published books that challenge, encourage, teach, and equip Christians, including 15 New York Times best-sellers. The book will be available in hardcover, paperback, and e-book formats. It can be pre-ordered at www.stevestrangbooks.com.

Stephen E. Strang is an award-winning journalist who founded Charisma magazine, the only national evangelical magazine to endorse President Donald J. Trump. He is also the bestselling author of “God and Donald Trump,” “God, Trump and the 2020 Election,” “Trump Aftershock,” and “God, Trump and Covid-19.”

It’s No Secret Who the Vicious Opponent of Masculinity Is

Dr. Tim Clinton Reminds Readers, “Evil Wants to Destroy the Family, but God has Equipped Men to Rise Up and Take It Back”

LYNCHBURG, VA — “There’s a vicious opponent of masculinity dancing around the cultural ring these days, throwing punches at men and their God-given identities. It is no secret who our opponents are,” says Dr. Tim Clinton,in his new book, co-authored with Max Davis, “Take It Back: Reclaiming Biblical Masculinity – The Heart and Strength of Being a Man.”

Our country is locked in a battle of the ages, with good and evil pitted against one another; and men are right in the middle. Manhood is not celebrated, but demonized. Men are being pounded daily—they aren’t just on the verge of being knocked out, they’re on the verge of dying—their voices and influence eliminated.

“This distorted view of masculinity is weakening our whole society,” says Dr. Clinton. “All you have to do is turn on the television and watch the latest sitcoms and their commercials to confirm this. Instead of strong men such as those in Braveheart and The Patriot, traditional males today—fathers particularly—are more often than not portrayed as nitwits or chauvinistic. Their counterparts, however, are usually cool, quick-witted males who are heavily effeminate, not to mention often atheist with a sarcastic or condescending tone against those bigoted, mindless Christians and conservatives. Vicious progressives will stop at nothing to achieve their godless agenda.”

The reason for this is simple. Satan wants to destroy the family, and the way he does that is to undermine men, destroy their God-given roles, and re-define the biblical definition of manhood because he wants to see the family unravel and society crumble, Pastor Tony Evans warns“What we’re seeing, and will continue to see, is the decimation of the family, because the man is the foundation of the family, and the family is the foundation of society.”

Traditional masculinity is a threat to their whole [Liberal] system, and their goal is to silence and neuter the men who stand for it,” says Dr. Clinton“At first it was only a small percentage of society, but now their poison has infiltrated mainstream life, affecting nearly everyone.”

The American Psychological Association, citing 40 years of research, has come right out and said as much“Traditional masculinity is psychologically harmful.” And, furthermore, the APA states that, “Forcing men to behave in accordance with the worst stereotypes of manliness harms them – and it harms others.”

“In other words, according to them, being manly is dangerous. Can you believe such”? asks Dr. Clinton. “This is not some back-alley, fringe organization promoting this. It’s the top secular psychological organization in America. And this is how they are indoctrinating our kids nowadays, starting in elementary school all the way through college.

“There has been an unprecedented misrepresentation of what true, biblical manhood really looks like. It is a concerted effort by our opponents to vilify Christianity and for our country to rid itself of our Judeo-Christian heritage, including men and their God-given roles,” says Dr. Clinton, who cites this statement from the Huffington Post to demonstrate this point:“The faster conservative religion is overwhelmingly seen as mean, crazy, violent, hateful, misogynistic and anti-science, the faster we as a society can move on.”

“Notice,” says Dr. Clinton, “it is their goal to ‘move on’ from conservative religious values. In other words, the God of the Bible. To ‘move on,’ it’s imperative that they make those conservative values, including traditional masculinity, look their way, regardless of the facts or of reality.

“Whenever the word ‘stereotypes’ is used when describing men, they are almost always talking disparagingly about common-sense, healthy, traditional biological definitions, and most definitely, ‘biblical’ standards,” says Dr. Clinton.

Dr. Clinton reminds readers that there is hope, that God has equipped men to fight back and win:

“The good news is God’s men have never backed down from a fight. In fact, throughout biblical and secular history, they’ve been called upon again and again to rise up and take it back.”

In “Take It Back: Reclaiming Biblical Masculinity – The Heart and Strength of Being a Man,” Clinton, president of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC), challenges readers to reject the culture’s redefinition and seek biblical examples of true manhood. Fast-paced, filled with relevant, biblical stories of godly men like David and Nehemiah, and contemporary stories of godly men like George Foreman and Tim Tebow, “Take It Back” empowers men to be who God created them to be and to impact the culture that is in desperate need of their influence. Study and discussion questions at the end of each chapter make “Take It Back” a perfect resource for men’s Bible studies and small groups.

Dr. Tim Clinton, EdD, LPC, LMFT, is president of AACC, the largest and most diverse Christian counseling association in the world. Dr. Clinton also serves as co-host of “Dr. James Dobson’s Family Talk,” heard on nearly 1400 radio outlets daily. Licensed as a Professional Counselor and as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Dr. Clinton is recognized as a world leader in mental health and relationship issues and spends much of his time working with Christian leaders and professional athletes. He has authored or edited nearly 30 books. Dr. Clinton and his wife, Julie, have two children, and a granddaughter.

Men: Protect Your Children by Embracing the Truth of What God’s Word Says About You

Dr. Tim Clinton Offers Insight for Men When Evil Is Called Good, and Good Is Called Evil in New Book, ‘Take It Back’

LYNCHBURG, VA — “In ancient Israel, when they had no king who represented God’s ways, the Bible says, ‘Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.’ People became gods to themselves. The result was an overflow of wickedness. As wickedness became the norm, God gave them over to their own desires, which made things even more perverse. He simply turned them over and let them have their way,” says Dr. Tim Clinton, as he explores the issue of attacks on godly masculinity by the toxic culture today in his new book, co-authored with Max Davis, “Take It Back: Reclaiming Biblical Masculinity – The Heart and Strength of Being a Man.”

Citing Bible passages that eerily prophesy our society today, including Psalm 81:11-12, and Romans 1:28, Dr. Clinton says, “This is where we are going or even are today as a society—a place where the unthinkable becomes tolerable, then acceptable, then legal, then praised. We are at the point where a man who dares to stand up and be who God created him to be is considered toxic and evil, while a drag queen who reads books to young children and teaches them detestable movements is lauded as brave.”

You don’t have to look far to find extreme examples of militant disrespect for God and Christianity that has taken over our schools, entertainment, law, and politics, and that children are being institutionally programmed from their early years to hate God and to despise and disregard Christianity. “It’s getting really bad out there,” says Dr. Clinton. “We have been watching the devastating results unfold right before our eyes— rampant lawlessness, school shootings, godlessness, the feminization and emasculation of men, and things once considered evil being embraced as good, while good from a biblical perspective is labeled as evil.”

Gender ideology has become the new liberal litmus test. College and high school students everywhere are being made fun of, humiliated, and even reprimanded for simply believing in two genders, male and female, the way God created them. Case in point: Lake Ingle, a college senior, was kicked out of a class required for graduation simply because he disagreed with his professor’s gender ideology.

Recently in Canada, use of the terms father, mother, sir, madam, Mr., and Mrs. was banned within a government organization, ostensibly as an act of “tolerance” for those with alternate gender identities, while bullying and harassment of those who support traditional masculinity have now reached way beyond the classroom, impacting every sector of life.

“Every man has to be careful because the ‘PC (political correctness) police’ are lurking everywhere, waiting to get us for the crime of being too manly,” says Dr. Clinton.

“It’s all under the guise of ‘tolerance.’ The truth is they want to make men irrelevant and for everyone to accept their way of life. For the progressive agenda to happen, you have to ‘cancel’ or wipe out real men. If you can wipe out men, you can do anything.”

Their goal is to eliminate men’s influence on things that impact the culture, such as our children, especially our boys. Citing the headline: “Court Bars Father From Teaching 6-Year-Old Son That He Is a Boy.”

“Think of it—a father is shamed for wanting to help his son be a boy and could even lose custody of his son because of it,” says Dr. Clinton. “God help us.

“You don’t have to accept mainstream media’s or some liberal organization’s label of who you are,” says Dr. Clinton, who offers the answer in “Take it Back.”  “You certainly don’t have to accept the mischaracterized version of traditional masculinity—but instead you must accept the absolute truth of what God’s Word says about you.

“This is a dangerous place to live,” says Dr. Clinton. “Men, stand up and be who God created you to be. According to David, Solomon proving himself a man and being an effective leader started with embracing God’s plan and walking in His ways. For men to impact the culture around them and their circles of influence, starting with their families, they must embrace God’s true definition of manhood and masculinity.”

Free Exercise of Religion is Guaranteed, Even in a Post-Christian World

“The First Amendment was Written to Restrain the Government from Trampling on the Human Conscience,” Says Bestselling Author Dr. Michael Youssef in Newest Book, “Hope for This Present Crisis”

ATLANTA — Even though the Fourth of July has come and gone, bestselling author Dr. Michael Youssef points out that it has never been timelier to discuss our freedoms, especially the freedom of religion. In his latest book, Hope for This Present Crisis,” Dr. Youssef reminds readers that Freedom of worship is not the same thing as freedom of religion—and why the precise wording of the First Amendment is so important.

“Politicians often use the phrase ‘freedom of worship’ instead of the First Amendment term, ‘the free exercise of religion.’ Do the specific words matter? Yes, they do,” Dr. Youssef reminds us.

‘Freedom of worship’ means you are free to worship inside your church any way you choose. Many politicians, judges, and secular-left activists want you to keep your religion behind church doors, where no one else can see or hear it. “They don’t want you talking about your faith in the classroom, on campus, or in a public park,” says Dr. Youssef. “They don’t want to see you praying or singing Christian songs in front of a government building.

“That’s why the precise wording of the First Amendment is so important. It guarantees the free exercise of religion, not just freedom of worship. We are free to exercise our faith at work, on campus, in the neighborhood, on the military base, and everywhere else,” says Dr. Youssef. “We do not merely have freedom of worship one day a week. We are free to exercise our religion 24 hours a day, seven days a week.”

In “Hope for This Present Crisis,” Dr. Youssef highlights two recent Supreme Court cases that illustrate the importance of the First Amendment guarantee of the free exercise of religion. In Lakewood Colorado’s Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, the owner declined to create a custom wedding cake for a same sex wedding of two men, which violated his Christian beliefs and his conscience. The couple filed a complaint with the Commission, which then ordered the Christian baker to provide cakes for same-sex marriages, provide antidiscrimination training for his staff, and make quarterly reports for two years to the Commission demonstrating his compliance.

The baker refused to comply and instead took the Colorado Civil Rights Commission to court, claiming they had violated his first amendment rights to free speech and free exercise of religion under the First Amendment. The Supreme Court agreed with him, in a seven-to-two ruling. But the anti-Christian attacks continue, with other civil rights violations cases being brought against the cake shop by other affinity groups claiming discrimination.

The second case involves the Christian crisis pregnancy centers—National Institute of Family and Life Advocates v. Becerra. In California, the 2015 California Reproductive Freedom, Accountability, Comprehensive Care, and Transparency Act (also known as the FACT Act) required Christian crisis pregnancy centers to post notices advertising state-sponsored abortion clinics. This causes a conflict because crisis pregnancy centers exist to provide counseling and other assistance so that women can choose not to have an abortion.

“Freedom of speech doesn’t merely mean the freedom to speak your mind. It’s also the freedom not to speak a message the government seeks to force on you,” says Dr. Youssef. Although the Christian crisis pregnancy centers lost their case in the famously far left Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, the Supreme Court of the United States later ruled in a five-to-four decision that California’s FACT Act violated the First Amendment.

“Neither of these cases involved the right to worship. Instead, they involved our right to practice our faith and obey our religious conscience in our daily lives. I applaud the example of this Christian baker and these crisis pregnancy centers. At a high cost to themselves, they defended their right to think, believe, and behave as Christians in this post-Christian world.

“The First Amendment was written to restrain the government from trampling on the human conscience… The government should never require people to violate their conscience for any reason. That’s why religious freedom is the first right listed in the First Amendment,” says Dr. Youssef.

California State University to Pay Faculty $1,200 to Learn to Eradicate “Whiteness”

ATLANTA —A Fox News report claims that California State University East Bay is offering faculty $1,200 stipends for attending a course that seeks to understand how Whiteness can be “eradicated.”

The course, Anti-Racist Liberatory Pedagogy Academy, notes one of their intended outcomes for participants is “Enhanced knowledge and understanding of Critical Race Theory to provide a framework for and to inform their anti-racism pedagogy.” The course introduction quotes Assata Shakur, the former Black Liberation Army member convicted of murdering New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in 1973.

In “Hope for This Present Crisis” (www.thepresentcrisis.com), bestselling author Dr. Michael Youssef explains that Critical Race Theory (CRT) fosters the belief that all elements of a free society are oppressive and must be dismantled. CRT justifies rioting, looting, disrespecting and defunding police, and ultimately hating America and all it stands for.

Dr. Youssef points out that higher education institutions are the obvious choice to indoctrinate generations of radicals into CRT. “They portray everyone who opposes their agenda as racist, sexist, misogynist, or homophobic. Their targets are people who believe in logic and reason, democracy, traditional American values, Western civilization, and the Judeo-Christian faith tradition.” Youssef warns, “[CRT] uses fear to reinforce a narrative that everyone must buy into. Truth is slain on the altar of the delusional narrative. Anyone who contradicts this narrative will be canceled and publicly shamed as a racist.”

The school offers $600 upon completion of the summer sessions and another $600 for completion of post-academy fall and spring semester sessions, touting the course as a “race-conscious framework that examines the ways whiteness is normalized in our country and in our University.”
