Dr. Don Colbert warns readers of the dangers of artificial sweeteners on brain function in new book, ‘Dr. Colbert’s Healthy Brain Zone

‘Avoid the dementogen of sweeteners, and lower your intake of sugary foods and beverages, and you will be well on your way to lowering your risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia,’ bestselling author declares

DALLAS — The average American eats (or drinks) more than 100 pounds of sugar each year. As America’s consumption of sugar rises each year, many switch to sugar substitutes as a “quick fix” to avoid sugar. In 2020 alone, more than 141 million Americans reported to switching to sugar substitutes. While sugar and sugary alternatives are known to have a negative impact on health, many don’t know the true impact of sugar and sugar substitutes on the brain.

Bestselling author Dr. Don Colbert recently released his latest book, “Dr. Colbert’s Healthy Brain Zone,” to concisely identify the key steps needed to break the cycle of memory loss, dementia, and Alzheimer’s. When it comes to artificial sweeteners, Colbert knows the dangers of sugar substitutes well.

“Of the many artificial sweeteners out there, aspartame is one of the most common,” said Colbert. “How common? Aspartame is an ingredient in thousands of different processed foods! You name it, and it probably has aspartame in it.

“Aspartame has been shown to cause anxiety, cognitive impairment, depression, headaches, irritable moods, learning impairment, memory issues, migraines, and sleep impairment. Cognitive symptoms you certainly don’t want, such as ‘deficits in complex attention, inefficient information processing, reduced executive functioning, slower processing speed, and long-tern memory loss’ are all a result of consuming aspartame. Aspartame is poisonous to the brain, but its negative impact is multiplied when consumed with carbohydrates.”

For those who think that sticking to traditional sugar is better than the man-made alternatives, Colbert has a separate warning. “You may be wondering if sugar itself is a dementogen,” he commented. “You could certainly say it is for all the damage that sugar does to the body. I do call sugar a dementogen. Some even call it poison. But in comparing artificially sweetened beverages to sugar-sweetened ones, the artificial ones are far worse.

“For years, we have been sold the idea that ‘sugar-free’ is a good thing. When artificial sweeteners are used, rest assured that they more than eclipse any health benefits from the lack of sugar. What’s more, the Alzheimer’s and dementia epidemics are following right behind the diabetes epidemic, which is following the obesity epidemic. The excessive intake of sugars (in any form) ages and inflames our bodies and brains, and over time amyloid plague in the brain cannot help but build up.

“Avoid the dementogen of sweeteners, and lower your intake of sugary foods and beverages, and you will be well on your way to lowering your risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia.”

In the book, Dr. Colbert looks inside the science and provides natural protocols and treatments for cognitive decline, including:

  • A weekly plan that incorporates supplements and healthy eating for optimum results
  • Thirty easy-to-make recipes for restoring balance and maximizing brain function
  • Instructions for other simple protocols that help maintain a healthy brain

Rabbi Kirt Schneider analyzes Christ’s fulfillment of Easter prophecies in groundbreaking new book

‘When we step back and consider the scale, scope, and preciseness of Isaiah’s Messianic prophecies and exactly how Yeshua fulfilled each of them, it truly is astonishing’

COLUMBUS, Ohio  As Christians around the world prepare to celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, acclaimed author and evangelist Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider is urging believers to consider the magnitude of Christ’s sacrifice when considered in the light of Old Testament prophecies that foretold the crucifixion. Schneider’s recent book, Messianic Prophecy Revealed, helps readers uncover the beauty and depth of scriptural prophesies concerning Christ’s arrival and purpose in God’s plan for humanity.

“The book of Isaiah contains some of the strongest prophecy about the Messiah in the Hebrew Bible,” Schneider said. “Isaiah 53 describes the rejection, contempt, and suffering the Messiah would have to endure in order to bring healing and salvation to the world. Indeed, this chapter in the Tanakh (or Hebrew Bible) is both foundational as well as a summit point of Messianic prophecy.

“Isaiah foresaw that the Messiah would be rejected, but the idea of the Messiah being rejected by Israel, although clearly seen by Isaiah, largely escaped the religious leadership of Yeshua’s day. They were not looking for a Messiah who would be rejected, suffer and die. They were looking for someone who would be king and would lead the Jewish nation into freedom and reign in Israel.”

Schneider continued, “Isaiah explains that Yeshua was not crucified as a punishment for His own transgressions but that He willingly took on the punishment for ours: ‘He was pierced through for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the chastening for our well-being fell upon Him, and by His scourging we are healed’ (Isa. 53:5). As previously discussed, the Torah, through the Levitical sacrificial system, and the Tanakh, particularly Isaiah 53, teach the concept of substitutionary, sacrificial atonement, whereby we see that the innocent can atone for the guilty by the giving of their own life. This is what Yeshua did.

“Incredibly and regally, Yeshua sacrificed His life without maintaining His innocence or railing against the injustice being done to Him. Isaiah 53:7 says, ‘He was oppressed and He was afflicted, yet He did not open His mouth; like a lamb that is led to slaughter, and like a sheep that is silent before its shearers, so He did not open His mouth.’ Standing before Pilate about to be crucified, Jesus did not object. He did not shout. He did not protest, ‘But I’m innocent!’ Rather, He stood there in silence, just like the prophet Isaiah said He would. He did not defend Himself.

“When we step back and consider the scale, scope, and preciseness of Isaiah’s Messianic prophecies and exactly how Yeshua fulfilled each of them, it truly is astonishing. We see again why Messianic prophecy does not merely engage the mind but builds faith, strengthening the fire of the love of God in our hearts. It is impossible for us as true disciples of Jesus to study the Hebrew prophecies of Messiah deeply and not be touched with the love of God!”

Rabbi Schneider has long been deciphering biblical text and identifying the Messianic prophecies found throughout Scripture. His latest book takes readers on a journey through the Word of God, showing them how the New Testament writers took passages out of the Old Testament to prove that Jesus truly is the Messiah.

Latest release: ‘Dr. Colbert’s Healthy Brain Zone’details environmental acquired illnesses that can harm brain health

‘Chronic inflammation can lead to an increased risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia’

DALLAS — More than 6 million Americans are battling Alzheimer’s. That’s 1 in 9 people age 65 and over, 10% of that population. By 2050 this number is expected to exceed 13 million. From 2000-2019 deaths from Alzheimer’s more than doubled, while mortality rates from heart disease declined. So, what is causing this epidemic of memory-loss and corresponding impact on quality of life?

Dr. Don Colbert observed, “Alzheimer’s and dementia are not diseases or sicknesses that you catch. Nor do they suddenly, randomly, unexpectedly appear. Rather, Alzheimer’s and dementia are the body’s responses to what we are feeding it, doing to it, not giving it, and exposing it to, and all around how we are mistreating it. The body and brain are simply trying to cope.”

For Dr. Colbert, dementia is not an abstract medical condition. He has witnessed firsthand the devasting effects of Alzheimer’s, as both his mother and father struggled with the disease. Board-certified in both family and anti-aging medicine, Dr. Colbert is committed tohelping people live longer, healthier lives.

In his latest book, “Dr. Colbert’s Healthy Brain Zone,” the bestselling author details factors that can negatively impact brain health, including one key area: environmentally acquired illnesses.

Dr. Colbert stated, “‘Environmentally acquired illnesses’ is a broad term being used more and more to describe the diseases that cause chronic inflammation, all of which lead to an increased risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia. In particular, we are talking about chronic inflammation caused by mold, Lyme disease, Lyme disease coinfections, toxic chemicals, and heavy metals.”

Dr. Colbertnotes that, in particular, a considerable portion of the population has difficulty dealing with mold exposure.

“Mold is toxic to about 25 percent of the world’s population,” Dr. Colbert shared. “It turns out that about 75 percent of us create an antibody that binds to the mold and gets rid of it. The remaining 25 percent of the population does not have the genetic ability to make this antibody and flush out the mold toxins.”

No matter the source, over time, exposure to environmental factors can lead to chronic health issues.

Dr. Colbert said, “A weakened immune system leads to other infections, so by the time people see a doctor, they often suffer from a confusing jumble of diseases with a wide variety of symptoms, including memory impairment.”

Yet despite his personal experience and the troubling statistics on Alzheimer’s, Dr. Colbert believes that prevention is possible.

Dr. Colbert said, “Whatever the ‘environmentally acquired illness’ might be, in the end there is hope!”

Reclaim the rainbow! ‘The rainbow belongs to God and God alone’; Rabbi Kirt Schneider urges Christians to stand firm on the truth of the Gospel

‘Do not let the LGBTQ community steal what is God’s. All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men and women of faith to do nothing’

COLUMBUS, Ohio  The LGBTQ “pride” flag has been a rainbow for 45 years, but the rainbow has been a symbol for God for millennia. As God’s promise of forgiveness and redemption from the books of Genesis and Revelation, the rainbow is meant to signify God’s covenant with His people, but has been hijacked by the LGBTQ community, according to acclaimed author and evangelist Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider, who has multi-millions of followers across the globe.

Schneider recently launched a movement to take back the rainbow on a YouTube livestream on Monday, March 13. In the livestream, Rabbi Schneider analyzed the biblical meaning and symbolism of the rainbow.

“When Ezekiel saw the glory of the Lord in the book of Ezekiel, he said that the glory of the Lord was like a rainbow,” said Schneider. “In the book of Revelation, John saw the Lord sitting on his throne surrounded by a rainbow. The rainbow has been a sign of God’s glory for centuries, but in today’s modern world, God’s people are afraid to be associated with the rainbow because the LGBTQ community has hijacked it as their own symbol.

“Gender fluidity and non-biblical views of human sexuality are the most pressing social issues in the world today. The rainbow belongs to God and God alone, and we as His children must stand up and reclaim the rainbow for the glory of God and for the protections of our family, our children, and our nation. There has not been a consolidated movement within the body of Christ to oppose the unrighteousness happening within the LGBTQ community and the hijacking of the rainbow, the sacred symbol that was put in the sky all the way back in the book of Genesis — and the time is now.”

Schneider continued, “Many people call themselves believers in Jesus yet have sided with the LGBTQ movement because of their human compassion. By condoning this sin, they’ve actually placed themselves in opposition to the full revelation of God’s Word, which teaches from the very beginning that homosexuality is not God’s design. Despite how much sympathy, compassion, care and concern we might have for those that are living in same-sex relationships, we cannot allow our human emotion to carry us away from the truth of God’s word.

“To those who are trapped in same-sex attractions, Jesus loves you. I love you. No one is judging you. But there is a difference between loving you and accepting an agenda and lifestyle that is not of God and contrary to the order of creation.

“We as God’s people need to rise up and take the rainbow back. We should not shy away from wearing rainbow clothing or decorating with the rainbow. There is a rainbow around God’s throne. Do not let the LGBTQ community steal what is God’s and force their agenda on us and our nation. All it takes for evil to triumph is for good men and women of faith to do nothing.”

Reclaiming the rainbow; Rabbi Kirt Schneider explains the biblical significance of God’s promise in the sky

Rabbi Kirt Schneider utilizes Hebrew methods of prophecy to point to Christ as Messiah in new book, ‘Messianic Prophecy Revealed

COLUMBUS, Ohio  The rainbow, God’s promise of forgiveness and redemption from the book of Genesis, has become a defiant symbol of sin in today’s modern culture. In an effort to take back this heavenly display of God’s love, author and evangelist Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider recently analyzed the biblical meaning and symbolism of the rainbow.

“The LGBTQ+ community has hijacked the rainbow, but it is meant for a much more glorious purpose,” said Schneider. “Rainbows and color are very much a part of the visible manifestation of the glory of God. For example, in the book of Ezekiel, when Ezekiel saw the Lord, ‘He was like the appearance of a rainbow in the clouds on a rainy day, so was the appearance around him. This was the appearance of the lightness of the glory of the Lord…’ God made the rainbow, and it’s a powerful manifestation of His glory and beauty.”

The rainbow is very mystical when you consider that it has seven different colors, according to Schneider“It’s noteworthy that there are seven colors in the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Seven is a powerful number in the Bible. It often symbolizes ‘completeness,’ with many instances throughout the Bible that show the importance of ‘seven.’ There were seven days in creation; there was a menorah with seven candles in the tabernacle; even in the book of Revelation, there are seven churches that Yeshua addresses, seven seals, seven bowls of wrath, and seven trumpets.

“Delving even further into the makeup of the rainbow, there are three primary colors: red, yellow, and blue. Three is also a powerful number in Scripture. The temple had three different sections: the outer court, the holy place, and the Holy of Holies. There are three patriarchs in the Hebrew Bible: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And of course, we have the Holy Trinity of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

Schneider continued, “It is fascinating to consider these nuances hidden within the rainbow, for they further explain God’s purpose in this beautiful sign. The rainbow reminds us that we can trust the promises of God and that He will do what He said He will do. This is especially poignant once you incorporate the fullness of the Messiah into your life.

“The rainbow should remind us of the everlasting covenant that God has entered into with humanity. No matter what the world might say about the rainbow, Christians should know its’ true meaning and have faith in the promises of the Most High God.”

Many ignore that through creation, the Exodus, the Psalms, and the pleading of the prophets, Christ’s story is revealed and told — to its fullest extent

Rabbi Kirt Schneider: ‘It is not just the fact that Yeshua does fulfill the Hebrew Bible but how He fulfills it that transforms our understanding and roots us deeply in God’s Word’

COLUMBUS, Ohio  While the message of the Scriptures might seem straightforward, there are incredible nuances hidden within the Word of God. Author and evangelist Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider’s recent book, Messianic Prophecy Revealed, helps readers uncover the beauty and depth of scriptural prophesies concerning Christ’s arrival and purpose in God’s plan for humanity.

“The biblical, historical story of Yeshua is bigger, grander, and more beautiful than many of us have imagined,” said Schneider. “Through creation, the Exodus, the Psalms, and the pleading of the prophets, His story is revealed and told. It sweeps through the entire body of the Old Testament.”

“Unfortunately for many Christians, the subject of how Jesus fulfills Messianic prophecy is often treated in a superficial and oversimplified way, causing it to be stripped of its full power, beauty, and meaning. It is not just the fact that Yeshua does fulfill the Hebrew Bible but how He fulfills it that transforms our understanding and roots us deeply in God’s Word,” Schneider explained.

“Messianic prophecy is not simply the measurement of specific prophecies about the future that Yeshua fulfilled,” Schneider said. “This flat, one-dimensional way of thinking about Scripture is foreign to the rabbinic way and the approach to Scripture that Messiah Jesus knew and practiced Himself. In fact, understanding Messianic prophecy involves both art and science, both poetry and math. To comprehend more fully how Yeshua is revealed in the Hebrew Bible, we need to be interpreting the Old Testament in a distinctly Jewish way and open our minds to a Hebraic, Eastern way of thinking that is sometimes foreign to our Westernized mindset.

“For example, Matthew 2:13–15 highlights the passage of Joseph, Mary, and Yeshua in Egypt after an angel urged Joseph in a dream to leave Bethlehem. In the last sentence of this passage, Matthew recognizes some Scripture from the Old Testament in Hosea 11:1: ‘Out of Egypt I called My Son.’”

Schneider continued, “In its historical context, the reference doesn’t seem to be written as a prophecy. Rather, Hosea just seems to be speaking on the Lord’s behalf, recounting Israel’s history, when he says, ‘When Israel was a youth I loved him, and out of Egypt I called My son.’

“This verse does not seem to be anticipating an event that was to be fulfilled in the future. In Hosea 11:1, God had already called Israel out of Egypt at the time Hosea wrote about it. He delivered Israel out of Egypt approximately thirteen hundred years before Jesus came. This wasn’t an event people were expecting to happen; it had already happened. Yet again, Matthew quotes Hosea 11:1 claiming Yeshua fulfilled it. Why? Because Yeshua is Israel’s divine representative and what Israel went through, Yeshua would also go through.

“This gets to the heart of why I say the subject of Messianic prophecy has been oversimplified. Much of the time, the way the New Testament speaks of Jesus’ fulfillment of Messianic prophecy is not in the sense that He fulfilled some type of event the Hebrew people were looking forward to coming to pass. Rather, it is pointing to the fact that when Yeshua came, He filled Israel’s history up by repeating it in His own life. Yeshua came and carried prophecies and stories that were already fulfilled to their fullest meaning.

“For over two thousand years, religious Jews have encouraged this dynamic, lively way of reading and studying God’s Word. This multidimensional way of reading the Scriptures is the prophetic lens Christians need in order to discover the ways in which Yeshua fulfills the Hebrew Bible.”

The vengeance of the gods; Jonathan Cahn’s latest bestseller, ‘The Return of the Gods,’ reveals ancient battle for the soul of America

NEW YORK  Ancient gods have returned and are wreaking havoc across America. After the rise of Christianity ousted them from their previous kingdoms, these ancient deities are seeking vengeance against those who cast them out — and it starts in America.

In his explosive new book, “The Return of the Gods,” bestselling author Jonathan Cahn outlines how America’s turning away from God has opened the door to dark entities that are at work at this very moment, transforming the nation and Western civilization. Since the book’s release, “The Return of the Gods” hit No. 2 on the New York Times Bestsellers List — Cahn’s highest ranking ever — as well as No. 2 in the Hardcover Frontlist Nonfiction category on the Publishers Weekly bestsellers list, and No. 2 in nonfiction combined on the Wall Street Journal bestsellers list.

In the book, Cahn outlines how the Dark Trinity — three specific gods of old — have changed American culture and are working in all the chaos that is taking place, from initiating social upheavals and cultural revolutions to maneuvering politics and world events.

“As the gods had thrived in a pre-Christian age, they would now seek to usher in a post-Christian age,” writes Cahn. “And as the entrance of Christianity brought about the casting out of the gods from Western civilization, then upon their reentering, they would seek to bring about the casting out of Christianity from Western civilization.”

Cahn points out that these ancient gods could only return by casting out that by which they had themselves been cast out: the Spirit of God.

“As the gods had been driven out of the mainstream culture of the ancient world, they would now seek to drive God and those who followed Him out of the mainstream of modern culture,” Cahn writes. “As the gods had once been driven to the margins and shadows of their culture, they would now seek to drive Christians to the margins, to the shadows, to the closets and catacombs of modern culture.”

How would these ancient beings achieve this goal? “They would seek to gain control of the young,” Cahn writes. “And they would do so through the media, television, the internet, and the classroom. At the same time, the gods would attack the transmission of the Christian faith from parent to child and from teacher to student in Christian schools and universities. As they had once been cut off from influencing the young and cast out by a new generation, the gods would now seek to cut off the young from the Christian faith and to use the new generation to cast out the Christian faith and bring Judeo-Christian civilization to an end.”

But there is hope for those who stand strong in the Lord, according to Cahn“All who are called by His name can take encouragement, heart, strength, hope, and courage to live unbowed in the face of the gods,” Cahn explains. “It is time to be strong and of good courage. It is time to be bold. It is time to let go

of all fear and concern and to take a stand against the darkness and for the light.

“The darkness will end, but the light will be forever,” he concludes. “And so as it is written, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, for greater, much greater, is He who is in you than he who is in the world.”

Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider reveals multidimensional nature of God to Jewish audience through detailed Scriptural analysis

One of the most influential rabbis in the world, Rabbi Schneider uses Jewish background to address pressing theological queries in latest book

COLUMBUS, Ohio  In his groundbreaking, new book, “Messianic Prophecy Revealed,” Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider helps readers peer in to the nature and mystery of the Godhead.

When it comes to understanding the unique attributes of Christianity, Rabbi Schneider offers a unique viewpoint as a Jewish man.

“In words that are familiar to many, Jesus tells us in John 3:16 that ‘God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.’ This foundational text may sound simple to many people, but as a Jewish person, I can tell you the idea that God has a Son is very difficult for us to comprehend,” Rabbi Schneider explained.

“For centuries, Jewish people have been raised hearing and reciting this declaration from the Torah: ‘Sh’ma Yisrael Adonai Eloheinu Adonai Echad. Hear, O Israel! The Lord is our God, the Lord is one!’ This proclamation, called the Shema, is what set Israel apart from all the other nations from the beginning. Found in Deuteronomy 6:4, this pronouncement is the very cornerstone of Jewish belief. Unlike their neighbors, who worshipped many rivaling deities, the people of Israel worshipped only one God. In Judaism, every time we recite the Shema, we re-emphasize this distinction — that there is only one God.

“The claim, then, that God has a Son seems scandalous to the Jewish mind because it can be interpreted as suggesting there are multiple gods. Using language that refers to God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit sounds to the conventional Jew like polytheism and raises some questions: Which One? Are you worshipping three gods? Is God divided? This has been a massive source of theological tension between the traditional Jewish community and the Christian community. When someone has been brought up in a traditional Jewish community that emphasizes the oneness of God, the Christian teaching on the Trinity — God as the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit — seems to conflict with what they have been taught about God their whole lives.”

Rabbi Schneider continued, “Yet as we have seen with so many of the revelations of Yeshua in the Hebrew Scriptures, the truth of God’s multidimensional nature was embedded there from the start. We cannot conceive the fullness of God’s nature and how He has always existed by relying on logic alone. We cannot even come close to grasping by intellectual capacity alone the wonderful, supernatural reality of a loving God who simply is — who didn’t come from anywhere or anything but has just always existed.

“Our finite, human minds cannot apprehend the realm of a self-existent God who came from nowhere but has always been. We should not insist on being able to logically understand that God is one and yet within Himself exist a multiplicity of personalities He can display. When we say God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we are not saying there are three gods. Rather, we are saying God is multidimensional. There is one God, one essence, and He exists in three persons. He reveals and has manifested Himself as Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit.”

Acclaimed author Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider has long been deciphering biblical text and identifying the Messianic prophecies found throughout Scripture. His latest book, “Messianic Prophecy Revealed,” takes readers through the Word of God, showing them how the New Testament writers took passages out of the Old Testament to prove that Jesus is indeed the Messiah.

After a startling vision of Christ led to his salvation in 1978, Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider dedicated his life to a passionate pursuit of Messiah Jesus and being used by God for His purpose. His experience in both personal spiritual warfare and ministry has equipped him to bring to God’s Church deep insight into how to gain power over the realm of darkness and live-in victory.

Today Rabbi Schneider hosts the impactful television program, Discovering The Jewish Jesus, which is available in more than one hundred million homes in the United States and nearly two hundred nations worldwide. In 2020, he began broadcasting on radio and now airs across America. Rabbi Schneider imparts revelation of Jesus’ Jewish heritage and His fulfillment of Messianic prophecy. Questions of how the Old and New Testaments tie together, and how Yeshua completes the unfolding plan of The Almighty Yahweh, are answered with exceptional clarity.

Rabbi Schneider has authored several books, including “Called to Breakthrough,” “Do Not Be Afraid,” “Self-Deliverance,” “The Lion of Judah,” “Rivers of Revelation,” “The Mystery of Dreams,” and “Rivers of Divine Truth.” He has been featured in The Jerusalem Post and is a frequent guest on national TV programs, including The 700 Club, Daystar’s Marcus and Joni, and Mornings with Maria on Fox Business Network.

Jonathan Cahn’s latest book, ‘The Return of the Gods,’ reveals the ancient mystery that lies behind wokeism in America

‘The Return of the Gods’ hit New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Publishers Weekly bestsellers lists

NEW YORK  Is it possible that ancient entities known as the “gods” have returned to our world? Could they be the hidden agents transforming modern culture? Could the growing movement to curtail free speech in the West, whether in the form of political correctness, wokeism, or cancel culture, be connected to the mystery of these gods?

Bestselling author Jonathan Cahn’s latest book, “The Return of the Gods,” outlines America’s turning away from God and identifies the dark entities that are at work at this very moment to transform the nation and Western civilization.

Cahn takes readers on a journey through time, beginning with the ancient entities known in the Bible as the shedim. The word shedim stands for the spirits and dark entities that lie behind the gods and idols of the pagan world.

These spirits never merely aim for toleration but domination. In other words, they have returned to reign. “In ancient times they had reigned over the cultures in which they were enshrined,” Cahn writes. “But when those cultures turned to God, the gods were forced to abdicate, to leave their thrones and go into exile. Having returned, they would again lift their scepters and aspire to mastery and dominion.”

Cahn says that it was through a spirit of tolerance and openness that the gods gained entrance into the culture of ancient Israel. But once their worship and cult became widespread and established, everything changed. The righteous were persecuted as lawlessness reigned.

“The gods sought total domination,” Cahn says. “Anyone and anything that stood in the way was to be eliminated. They warred against God and His people and anyone who upheld the former ways. The gods used all means at their disposal: the power of culture, the power of state, and the power of the occult. Those who held to and upheld the ways of God were branded as troublemakers, agitators, and enemies of the state.”

What happened in Israel is currently happening in America, Cahn states. The earlier tolerance would be replaced by a new “enlightened” intolerance. It would manifest as political correctness, then wokeness, and cancel culture. Every word that could now be interpreted as expressing dissent from the newly sanctioned view was subject to judgment and censure. Anything that could be interpreted as challenging or differing from the new morality had to be canceled.

What about those who remain faithful to the Gospel? “As for those who had defied their dominion and would not bow their knee,” he says, “the gods would pass the same judgment on them as they had on those who resisted them in ancient times — there would be no room for them in the dominion of the gods.”

However, faith in Christ is the only surefire method to survive the ancient onslaught. “The only way to live is by the power of God,” writes Cahn. “It is only by His power that one can stand against the gods. It is only by His love that one can overcome all hatred. Only by His grace can one overcome all sin. Only by His hand can one break the chains of all bondage. And only by His light can one overcome the darkness of the age. In days of darkness the light must not waver or weaken but must grow stronger. And if the dark grows darker still, then the light must shine all the more brightly into it. And those who will not give up will, in the end, prevail.”
