Cahn’s highly anticipated new book set to send shockwaves across America; available on September 6, 2022
NEW YORK— In a world more determined than ever before to deny religion, have the gods of old returned to America — and become the unseen catalysts behind the decline of modern culture?
New York Times bestselling author Jonathan Cahn has spent his life uncovering ancient mysteries in biblical texts, first with his critically acclaimed book “The Harbinger” and recently with his blockbuster feature film “The Harbingers of Things to Come.” Now, Cahn is back with his most explosive work to date — “The Return of the Gods.” The new book will be available on September 6, 2022.
“The Return of the Gods” reveals exactly how the Mesopotamian and Babylonian pagan gods have returned to America — and how the Christian community can be prepared to fight these ancient deities.
Cahn stated, “‘The Return of the Gods’ will broach that which is deemed unbroachable, speak that which is judged as unspeakable, question the unquestionable, and reveal that which has not yet been revealed. It will address the most radical and controversial issues of our time, the front lines of cultural upheaval, the catalytic forces that are now transforming society, civilization, history, and life as these have been known. As it progresses, the mystery will become more intense and more explosive.”
In the book, Cahn asks and answers the question: If the gods were to reenter Western civilization, how would they do it?
Cahn acknowledges that they wouldn’t come as they had in ancient times. “A modern world requires a different approach,” he writes. “And a world that had been touched by the Gospel and had known the Word of God was far different from the pre-Christian and pagan world that had not. So the gods would alter their appearances and hide their identities.”
The gods could only return, says Cahn, if there was a falling away from the Christian faith and a biblical worldview. He outlines how that has certainly happened in the late twentieth and early twenty-first century.
Cahn uses America’s close ties to Israel as a pattern. “As Israel was consecrated to God from its inception, so was America,” Cahn recounts. “In its founding days, America’s Puritan leader John Winthrop gave the new civilization a charge based on Moses’ charge to the Israelites. If America followed the ways of God, it would become the most blessed, prosperous, and powerful of civilizations. But he also gave a prophetic warning:
‘But if our hearts shall turn away, so that we will not obey, but shall be seduced, and worship and serve other Gods, our pleasure and profits, and serve them… we shall surely perish.’
“America at its inception was given the same warning that Israel was given at its inception,” says Cahn. “It was warned against the seduction of the gods, just as the gods had seduced Israel. And in this is the key: the gods, or spirits, that have returned to America and Western civilization are the same gods and spirits that seduced ancient Israel in the days of its apostasy.”
“The Return of the Gods” outlines the fall of America from its biblical foundation, as well as identifies the three main gods who are responsible for wreaking havoc on the modern world — the Dark Trinity.
“The Return of the Gods” promises to take readers on a fascinating, unforgettable, and mind-blowing journey that will leave them stunned and with the ability to see the world as they never have before.
“The Return of the Gods” will be available on September 6, 2022.
