President Donald Trump Staying at Walter Reed Medical Center in Precautionary Move After COVID-19 Diagnosis; Author Stephen E. Strang Points to President’s ‘Good Spirits’

Author of ‘God, Trump, and COVID-19’ Weighs In
on Latest Developments Regarding President’s Health

ORLANDO, FLA.— The nation is still absorbing the dramatic news announced very early on Friday morning that President Donald Trump and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, both have tested positive for the coronavirus. On Friday afternoon, the president traveled by Marine One to Walter Reed National Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, “out of an abundance of precaution” given his diagnosis, said the White House. “It is very significant that he is being brought here,” a correspondent for Fox News said on Friday afternoon about the developments.

The president had further tests and evaluations done, and has remained at Walter Reed as doctors watch over him and monitor his symptoms. His medical status has improved since the weekend, showing signs of strength. A recent Associated Press article even points to Trump’s hope to be released from the hospital today.

Stephen E. Strangfounder of Charisma Media and author of the insightful new book “God, Trump, and COVID-19,” says that in an already dramatic election season, “all eyes are now rightly focused on the president’s health. The entire nation prays for his and the first lady’s strong and speedy recovery.

Adds Strang, “This president is a man of remarkable good spirits no matter what is thrown at him, and throughout this ordeal I would imagine him to remain his usual upbeat, take-charge, and positive self.”

Importantly, Strang—who has written authoritatively about this president for years—also notes that Trump and those in the White House are clearly taking this coronavirus as seriously as they should, given what we know about this virus and its progression. The president is 74 years old, which puts him in a higher risk category; his wife, Melania Trump, is 50.

Strang says, “I know our president will get the best of care at Walter Reed, and again we pray for his health and recovery and Melania Trump’s as well. That is the most important issue of all right now. We want the president to get well and to continue leading our great country as he has been since his election in 2016.”

Stephen Strang’s newest book is “God, Trump, and COVID-19,”a dynamic follow-up to his earlier book, “God, Trump and the 2020 Election.” The new book, in addition to sharing important insider information about China and the virus, addresses a key question for Christians: “Where is God in all this?”

“God, Trump, and COVID-19” is published by FrontLine, an imprint of Charisma House, which publishes books that challenge, encourage, teach, and equip Christians. The book is available in hardcover, paperback and e-book formats at www.stevestrangbooks.com.

Stephen E. Strang is an award-winning journalist who founded Charisma magazine, the only national evangelical magazine to endorse President Donald Trump. He is also the bestselling author of “God and Donald Trump.”

Voted by Time magazine as one of the 25 most influential evangelicals in America, Strang has interviewed four U.S. presidents—including President Trump—and has been featured on many media outlets, including Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, and CBN.
