“In Hebrew, the word for tower is migdol, which comes from the root word gadal. It means to become great, to increase, to be enlarged,” Cahn explained. “It also means pride. In the ancient world, civilizations built towers to show how great they were, and those towers would be a symbol of the kingdom itself—the Tower of Babel, for example. There’s a connection between towers and being the greatest.”

Drawing a parallel to modern times, Cahn said that as America rose to greatness as a global power, it began building the greatest towers in the world, such as the Empire State Building. Those towers represented the nation itself. “Later, we built the World Trade Center,” he said, “but that was actually at a time when America was going away from God. And here’s where it gets interesting, because in the Bible, towers are linked not only to greatness and pride—but to judgment.”

Among the many biblical proofs that at a time of judgment, a nation’s towers would come crashing down, Cahn cited Isaiah 2:12: “For the day of the Lord of hosts shall come upon everything proud and lofty, upon everything lifted up—and it shall be brought low.” He also cited Ezekiel 26:4: “On the day of a nation’s judgment, her enemies shall break down her towers.”

Cahn continued, “We saw that on 9/11. The sign of the tower—representing America’s greatness and preeminence in the world—came crashing down. God is saying that He built us up. America became this great tower of a kingdom, of a civilization, but we could only do that with God. If we turn away from Him, we turn away from the foundation on which we stand. This is why 9/11 was not only an event and a tragedy, it was also a foreshadowing of what will come. We must repent and return to God so that America itself will not come crumbling down to the ground.” The new book reveals all of this.

Added Cahn, “It happened on the ninth day of the fourth month. The fourth month of the Hebrew year is Tammuz, so the Ninth of Tammuz was the day that the end began. It became a day of sorrow, fasting, and mourning—the day that sealed the destruction of Judah.”

Cahn then revealed how this occurrence foreshadowed the breaking of America’s own “hedge of protection.” “For the first time in history, the Supreme Court redefined marriage. They basically struck down biblical, or traditional, marriage as it has always been. This is major,” Cahn continued, “because God made marriage. If you change it, you’re messing with a vessel of God. So what happened on that day in American history was gigantic, and it is still affecting all of us. It’s affecting religious freedom. It’s affecting everything.”

Cahn is referring, of course, to June 26, 2015—the very date on the Hebrew calendar that is the Ninth of Tammuz. On that exact date, said Cahn, the Supreme Court insisted that the U.S. Constitution protects same-sex marriage—and “it’s the day when the defenses of American civilization were gone. This is an absolute, gigantic warning.”

NEW YORK — A lot of believers are confused, discouraged, angry and fearful. When it comes to political America, they are asking what happened, where we are now and what is ahead. In a recent video message, Jonathan Cahn, known worldwide as the creator of one of the year’s biggest publishing successes, “The Harbinger II: The Return,” speaks to believers and answers those questions.

“We have had four years of a conservative administration,” said Cahn. “We have had a president whose policies were the most pro-life in history. President Trump stood against the killing of the unborn, for religious liberty, for Christian education. He appointed judges and supreme court justices who would be more likely to stand for biblical and traditional values. He opened the door for Christian ministers and leaders to give him counsel. He stood strongly for the nation of Israel by policy — he was the most pro Israel president in history. But now where are we? What do we do? Said Cahn, “There are those who say that believers should have nothing to do with the government or politics. On the other hand, there are those who act like the political realm is our ultimate realm and our ultimate fight even if it means calling for an American Civil War. Both are wrong. Messiah said you are the light of the world. The light has to shine. It has to affect and impact the world around it. As the light of God, we are to address, touch, affect and impact every realm – and that includes cultural and political realms.

“We should do everything we can to shine the light of God on the political realm. But there is a balance. Messiah also said that we are in the world but not of the world. And he said my kingdom is not of this world. We have to remember the fact that this world is neither our home nor our kingdom. We are to touch and minister to this world but remember that we are not of it. We are of a different and higher kingdom — a higher cause, a higher fight, a higher purpose, a higher mission.”

Cahn explained that believers have to come back to their first love: God. “We should support whatever will support the ends of God,” said Cahn. “But no earthly agenda or kingdom or government or person is that and we are to pray for and fight for God’s purposes. After all is said and done, we have to remember that His ways are higher than ours, no matter who it is that sits in the White House in our nation’s capital — the most important thing is Who sits on the throne of heaven.”

In his book, “The Paradigm,” Cahn spoke of Donald Trump as Jehu. “Jehu was a wild impulsive man and a fighter. But he was raised by God to be used to oppose an ungodly administration and anti-God government. But if you read “The Paradigm,” you will also see that Jehu was not the answer. And there were warnings given. He was used in what could have been the answer. His reign was a reprieve, a window of time in which revival could have come. But as far as we know, revival never came.”

In the “Harbinger II,” Cahn wrote, “In these past four years, with all the victories in the political realm, we have not seen a parallel victory in the realm of revival of America as a nation. It hasn’t moved closer to God as a nation. It has moved farther away: spiritually, culturally, morally. America has continued its race to judgment. The window is not the answer. But it is the means to an answer. The window is given for revival. Without revival, without returning to God, America is lost.”

And now, according to Cahn, the political realm is set to coalesce — to converge with those spiritual, cultural, social, and moral forces that are seeking to seal America’s fall from God. Cahn points out to the very present danger that now threatens the free exercise of faith, religious liberty, ministry, the right of parents to determine the upbringing of their children, the right to life, the right of conscience, and the future of America itself. Cahn shares what can address that threat: from the stand and prayers of God’s people and the hand of God. Pivotal as well will be the coming election in the state of Georgia.

“Pray for those two Senate races. The only thing in the political realm that can and will hold back the radical agenda are the two Senate votes in Georgia. If the Republicans lose these two seats, they will lose the Senate and that is the entire government. Pray as fervently for the will and hands of God. If you live in the state of Georgia, pray as never before and vote.”

In the “Harbinger,” Cahn wrote of the biblical template of national judgment. It was that template that lead Cahn to watch and mark the year 2020 as the year of potential great shakings. That led him to set the “Harbinger II” to be published in the same year, 2020.

“We are there,” Cahn said. “What lies ahead? We will either see continued shakings and judgment and America’s decline and ultimate fall, or the sealing of Americas apostasy and the coming of persecution. And it can be that both of these things will take place at the same time.

“What is the only good scenario for America? There’s only one. Revival. Revival can only begin with that one thing: repentance. The people of God can lead in revival. We must each commit to praying for revival as never before. But not only praying for revival, but actually to begin to live in true revival.

“Remember who you are. You are the light of this world. You don’t fear the darkness. You don’t hide from the darkness. You don’t give into the darkness. You shine your light into the darkness and you overcome the darkness. And if the dark gets darker, that’s your cue that it is time as the light of God to shine even more brightly, even more strong, more uncompromised, more pure, more bold and more revolutionary. The darkness cannot stop the light if that light will shine. The darkness will only magnify the light. It may be more challenging to shine, but the light that shines in the darkness is the light that lights up the world.

“Stand strong. Stand tall. Stand victorious. For the Lord says to you darkness will cover the nations. And the Lord will rise upon you. So arise and shine for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you in the name of Jesus, the anointed One, the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Light of the world and the Lion of the tribe of Judah.”

What state was hit harder by the plague than any other? New York, where abortion on demand began in 1970. Then it spread across America. When the Supreme Court voted for the Uniform Abortion Act in 1973, it was based on the law that New York passed in 1970.”

‘The Return: Next Generation’ Worship Service on Friday, Sept. 25 Will Launch Next Day’s Landmark Gathering of Thousands of Christians

Grassroots Church Movement ‘The Return’ To Kick Off 12 Hours Earlier with Special Service Open to Public on National Mall

NEW YORK — Battered by the winds of a pandemic, social unrest and an especially contentious election season, America is now poised to answer a call to repentance and restoration signaled from the lighthouse of a grassroots church movement known as “The Return: National and Global Day of Prayer and Repentance,” — now set to kick off one day earlier, with a newly added worship and prayer service called “The Return: Next Generation.”

Scheduled for September 25 from 6 to 9 p.m. ET on the National Mall in Washington, DC, the special service known as “The Return: Next Generation” welcomes the general public, young people, families—all can join as a precursor to the main gathering of “The Return” on September 26, which will draw tens of thousands in person and online.

The Return: Next Generation will be honoring our military, law enforcement and Mike Lindell will be launching his new national addiction Lindell Recovery Network, national music artist Danny Gokey and other artists, alongside a moving key note message given by Nicky Cruz.

Attendees should enter the special September 25 gathering at 12th Street and Madison Drive and are encouraged to observe appropriate social distancing, aided by fencing provided by the crew of “The Return: Next Generation.” Food trucks and portable restroom facilities will be available.

In ancient times, the Greeks referred to kairos to mean “opportunity,” a sailing term that literally means “toward the port.” At the precise moment, sailors used it to describe when the tide and winds were favorable to make it safely to port. They would set their sails to take full advantage of it. Pastor Kevin Jessip, along with New York Times bestselling author Jonathan Cahn — co-chairs of “The Return” — believe September 25 and 26 represent America’s kairos moment.

“When God is at work, as He is now, we must wake up to that opportunity, set our sails to His favor, and ride in His boat, using the wind and tide,” Jessip said. “The time has come for each of us. We have been called to seize the moment! We are at the threshold of the greatest move of God in our time.”

Jessip believes the opportunity is time-sensitive and demands courage of the American church, and that the moment could easily be lost by those who hesitate.

“‘Opportunity’ implies ‘the right moment which may only last for a moment,’” Jessip said. “Kairos means a God-given opportunity is being offered to mankind at a specific moment in time. However, the word also implies there is a risk of faith. In other words, as time moves on, the opportunity can be missed.”

That’s why Jessip and Cahn, along with many Christian leaders throughout America, are urging people to attend “The Return: Next Generation” worship service on September 25 in person or online, as well as the main September 26 gathering that will call the American church to prayer and repentance.
