In His New Book Releasing March 2, Dr. Youssef Emphasizes the Significance to Revitalize the Family
ATLANTA — In“Hope for This Present Crisis,” which releases on March 2, 2021, Dr. Michael Youssef expresses grave concern about the state of the family. In his new book, which is available to pre-order through Amazon, Barnes and Noble, BAM, ChristianBook.com, and Leading The Way, Dr. Youssef provides a diagnosis of the insanity of the current culture and a concise seven-step prescription for restoring sanity to a world gone mad.
“Families are under assault in our culture as never before,” Dr. Youssef warns. “As families disintegrate, children pay the price. Messages that attack faith and values bombard Christian kids. Their teachers and the media tell them there is no such thing as objective truth, that they are nothing but highly evolved animals, that it’s normal and healthy to yield to their most basic and self-centered impulses.
“Parents are increasingly operating on feelings instead of biblical principles and God’s truth. Instead of raising their kids in the nurture and admonition of the Lord, parents have surrendered to their children’s emotions—including childish anger and juvenile rage.”
According to Dr. Youssef, all is not lost for parents. In “Hope for This Present Crisis,”he describes how parents can revitalize the family by incorporating certain methodology into everyday family life. A few of those methods are listed here:
- Know who your children’s friends are. Know who they call and who they text. Remember that “Bad company corrupts good character.” (1 Cor. 15:33)
- Pray FOR your children. Pray for God’s protection over their minds, hearts and souls.
- Pray WITH your children. Make it a daily ritual and focus on your children’s needs and concerns.
- Make sure that God is at the center of your family. There should be no separation of your family into ‘sacred’ and ‘secular’ compartments. A vibrant, dynamic relationship with God should permeate every corner of your home, every aspect of your family life. Godly children come from godly families.
